The first edition ever of The Deadbeat Club had place in the Shacklewell Arms in London on the 11th of January.

Expect 4 hours of non-stop filthy rock’n’roll, wild beat, punk, KBD, no-wave, new wave, sleazy rhythm and blues, soul, boogaloo, 60s garage, psychedelic pop, primitive surf, fuzzy psych and more!!

DJs:

Pablo Colorado

“Hello there! I'm Pablo, a Rock'n'Roll DJ who regularly spins his extensive collection of original 45 r.p.m. records to packed dance floors in wild crazy parties far and wide. My sets are a mix of 50's rock'n'roll, garagepunk, R&B, surf-punk, wild instrumentals and other bizarre oddities. After spinning vinyl at some of the sweatiest nights throughout Spain at clubs including Nebula, Fellini and Magazine, it's time to conquer London's nightlife with sets at Weirdsville, The Lexington, Garageland and now The Deadbeat Club!!

See you at The next Deadbeat Club on the 8th of February, following Garageland, and monthly on the second Friday of each month!

GET READY FOR A NON - STOP - WILD - PARTY !!”

Eric Baconstrip

Eric Baconstrip is a lover of wild primitive 50’s, 60’s and 70’s punk vinyl. When he is not scouring record shops and flea markets for 45 gems we can find him banging drums for his band King Salami & The Cumberland 3, and his past credits include drumming with legendary bands The Nipple Erectors, The Parkinsons, UK Subs and a dozen more plus running The Corn Rocket Club in North London throughout the late 90’s to the early 2000’s.

“I travel a lot with my band so I never miss a chance to go to the flea markets and record shops when in different cities where I find lots of cool records. I was djing regularly at my own club, The Corn Rocket Club, plus the Funtastic Dracula Festival and at the Dirty Water Club.

I spin wild 50's and 60's rock and roll, with a touch of Exotica, and I’ve got a soft spot for the cool and weird”.

This is me! No more cursive letters between quotation marks. The only thing I'd like to say is that I manage this humble blog. And you don't know how much I'd like to update it more often if I had more time and a better connection to internet in this old laptop...
